Installation advice for used car parts.

Installing a used car part? Always check beforehand whether the correct type has been delivered, whether there is any transport damage, and whether everything matches the agreements made. Below you will find brief advice for each part.

Advice about air conditioning

Check that the air conditioning compressor is the correct type and has no transport damage. Have the system filled by a STEK-certified technician and replace the filter dryer and the expansion valve.

Advice on cylinder heads

Check that the cylinder head fits your engine type and is undamaged. When installing, always use a new head gasket and new head bolts, and tighten them to the correct torque.

Advice on gearboxes

Check that the gearbox is the correct type and free from transport damage. If in doubt, replace the oil seals and change the oil with the correct specification.

Advice on engines

Check that the engine code matches your car and that there is no transport damage. When installing, replace the timing belt, water pump, and gaskets, and use fresh oil.
